Career Development with Perspective
Offered exclusively to clients of the Johnson O’Connor Research Foundation, this three-month course provides a framework for considering one’s aptitudes and career development in the broader context of one’s life. In a small group setting, participants will learn through a combination of instruction, discussion, and their own work. They will take away tools and practices they can use to lead themselves well for the rest of their lives. Topics include:
- The Power of Vision
- Personality + Relational Style
- Developing Work
- Networking
While the first four meetings are topically programmatic, the last three pivot to a different, participant-driven format, that of coaching. This format is introduced to provide participants with the experience of a powerful professional service that supports growth toward their goals.
The course is offered online each year from January through March; meetings are every two weeks for up to 90 minutes. The fee is $600, either paid in full up front, or set up as a monthly recurring payment of $200 for each month; the fee is at least partially refundable to any participant who is dissatisfied with the course. A portion of this fee will be donated to the Johnson O’Connor Research Foundation to support its work as a nonprofit.
